The school counselor should have knowledge of the following school counseling practices:

Stating beliefs, and creating a mission and vision statement that align with that of the school and district helps me be focused in my work as a school counslor.
The ASCA mindsets and behaviors planning guide helps me organize my lessons throughout the year, to ensure students have the school counseling curriculum they need.
The core curriculum helps me reach all of my students, and allows me to ensure core mindsets and behaviors are targeted in my lessons throughout the year.
