Communication, Language, and Speech Disorders

The American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association’s goal is to make effective communication a human right, accessible and achievable by all. They share information with Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Students, and Faculty on technology that is available and ways in which to best advocate for individuals with communication, language, and speech disorders.

Apraxia Kids helps families and individuals with apraxia understand what is going on physiologically, and ways in which to help. Provider lists are included, with individuals specially trained in helping kids with apraxia. Technology such as speech tablets are also included, so families can get a full range of options.

Voice Nation provides information for parents and teachers working with children with childhood language and communication disorders. Specific strategies for working with children with language and communication disorders are listed, as well as links to additional information.
