Anxiety

Anxiety is something we all deal with. Some anxiety is actually a GOOD thing! It can propel us to study for a test, or let us know when there is danger. But understanding when healthy amounts of anxiety become problematic is important in helping your child.

Worry Wise Kids outlines normal anxiety, and when anxiety may cause concern. Be sure to click on other tabs too for some great information on how to help your child!

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is usually very effective in treating anxiety. We can work on this at school; feel free to Contact Me if you think your child would benefit. Due to time constraints, if your child needs more extensive therapy, outside resources can be very helpful in providing longer-term services.

The Child Mind Institute gives caregivers some guidelines for what to do, and what not to do if your child feels anxious.
